Drill of the Week - Movement Drills


Great Warm Up Exercise - 3 players using the handpass skill and moving forward but not in straight lines.

Ball starts in middle. Player one passes to right or left their choice. They then move quickly behind the player they pass it to in order to receive the next pass.

In summary Player 1 passes to Player 2 and Player 2 passes to Player 3 while moving forward.

 

To advance the drill above bring in a kickpass. Player 1 passes the ball to Player 2 who then gives it to Player 3 who kicks accurately to the centre player in the next group. To advance it even further make each player touch the ball twice before they kick. This just creates good habits to get each player passing and moving.
